Leaf Type Air Expandable Shaft comprised of metal leaves with knurling, rubber bladder, slotted base pipe, suitable journals and non-return valves. Leaf Type Air Expandable Shaft is widely used at unwind station usually for rewind stage to avail several benefits like narrow width of core, to prevent damage to thin cores, at times core-less winding is also possible and has a limitation to accommodate gauge and speed variation. These type of shafts have a great use at unwind station, but are usually used at rewind stage for benefits listed below :
